In today’s post discover the stunning aquariums with exceptional videos & unique photographs and learn how Orphek LED lighting is revolutionizing public aquariums with cutting-edge LED technology.
About the Indonesian Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall
Completed in 2013, Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall is a pioneering development in Indonesia, promoting an ecology community concept that encourages an environmentally-friendly lifestyle. This mixed-use development features office blocks, condominiums, prime hotels, an exquisite shopping center.
Inspired by the natural flow of water through ice and canyon rocks, the mall’s design is a testament to modern architecture and environmental harmony and it is now becoming the home of 25,000 aquatic creatures!
The BXSea Oceanarium
Orphek has established a strong presence in Asia for many years, and today we are happy to unveil one exquisite project that Orphek has the honor and pleasure to be a part of – The BXSea Oceanarium.
The BXSea is the first aquarium tourist attraction in the South Tangerang area, offering a unique blend of education and entertainment. As an edutainment destination, BXSea provides an engaging way for visitors to learn about aquatic life and marine ecosystems.
This urban concept aquarium is designed as a family-friendly recreational space, perfect for fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of marine biota.
Today we would like to invite you to watch short videos of the venue and its educational programs and experience the vibrant and dynamic underwater world illuminated by Orphek’s advanced lighting solutions.
In this first video get ready for an exciting sneak peek on how little “Seaventurers” from Noah School are learning from very early age about the creatures from under waters. You will be able to “walk” with them and see the many aquariums and facillites lighted by Orphek.
Orphek team was deeply touched by this video and felt really honored to be a part of such an incredible program.
Supplying the lights for these tanks allows us to contribute to the immersive experience of witnessing marine life up close. It’s a privilege to support BXSea in their mission to educate and inspire these little visitors about the wonders of the ocean!
BxSea impressive features & numbers
BXSea features several impressive attractions:
- The longest aquarium journey in Indonesia.
- The largest exotic rainforest area.
- The largest tunnel in Southeast Asia.
- The largest dome.
- The largest panel amphitheater in Indonesia.
The Oceanarium offers 20 different journeys that visitors can explore.
Spanning 7,354 square meters and housing not less than 4.5 million liters of water, BXSea features approximately 25,000 aquatic creatures from 140 species across 54 displays, including 44 freshwater and saltwater aquariums and 10 terrariums.
The main tank – behind the scenes – educational program
In the next video you will be able to watch at first hand another incredible experience offered by the Oceanarium, and with a bonus – you get to see the impressive performance of Orphek Amazonas 500 and how beautifully displayed they are!!
Instead of just observing marine life from the sidelines, participants are able to embark on a thrilling and memorable boat journey within the main tank of the oceanarium.
This provides a unique perspective, allowing them to be surrounded by marine life from all angles while having an education team providing insights into the marine life seen during the journey, and answering any questions participants may have.
Obs.: The video below is displaying Oceanarium staff. Participants will be required to wear life jackets ensuring that they can enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
As you could perceive from this video, it takes years of experience in technology development to be able to meet all specifications and the complexities of such an installation.
The challenge
The challenge of this project was not only to create a natural and healthy environment for the aquarium’s inhabitants, but also to ensure sufficient light penetration and distribution.
Orphek is uniquely capable of providing the perfect combination of spectrum and penetration for deep aquariums like this one.
Numerous units of our Amazonas 500 Watt LED Public Aquarium Lights, combined with units of Amazonas 960 iCon were strategically placed to achieve a harmonious overall look, as shown in this photo below.
Specifically for the main tank project, Orphek is the only company in the market today that can supply a LED reef aquarium solution that enabled BXSea Oceanarium to offer a memorable, genuine experience to their visitors while ensuring a healthy, safe environment for both visitors and staff.
The engineers’ layout looks amazing and incredibly neat!
