Orphek Limited Warranty
All Orphek products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
To help us avoid fraud situations, the warranty is limited to users that cooperate to solve and test all options that Orphek makes available. Check out TOS and our Private Policies for further information.
This warranty is subject to Orphek’s Terms of Service and other applicable policies, which are available on our website.
Country-Specific Warranty Periods:
European Union (EU): As required by EU law, all Orphek products sold to consumers within the European Union are covered by a minimum two (2) year warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty provides consumers with specific rights related to defective goods, as outlined in EU Directive 1999/44/EC and implemented in the national laws of each EU member state. For more detailed information about your rights, please refer to the consumer protection laws in your country.
[Spain]: In Spain, the warranty period for Orphek products is 03 years, as required by local consumer protection laws.
Warranty Period Extensions:
Orphek does not offer extended warranty programs.
Warranty for Upgraded Orphek Fixtures:
Upgrading your Orphek LED lighting solution to a newer version does not extend the original warranty for the Orphek product as a whole. The original warranty expiration date remains in effect.
The upgrade kit itself is covered by a separate one (1) year warranty (unless local laws specify a different minimum warranty period). This warranty applies only to the components included in the upgrade kit.
Example: If you purchased your Atlantik V4 in 2019 and upgraded it in 2022, the original Atlantik V4 warranty still expires in 2020. However, the components in your upgrade kit have a separate warranty that expires one year after the upgrade purchase date, in 2023.
Warranty for Orphek Fixtures with Replaced Parts:
Replacing parts in your Orphek lighting solution does not extend the original warranty period. The original warranty continues from the initial purchase date.
Damages Outside the Warranty Period:
While Orphek is not responsible for damages that occur outside the warranty period, we are happy to assist you if possible. Please contact us at contact@orphek.com for an evaluation of the damage and to discuss potential assistance, including repair options and replacement part pricing (if available).
Damages Within the Warranty Period:
During the warranty period, we will, at our option, repair or replace the defective unit or part, provided the following conditions are met:
This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. You will be required to provide proof of purchase to make a warranty claim. If you purchased your Orphek product from a dealer, local shop, or online shop selling used products, please contact them directly for warranty assistance.
This warranty does not cover damage to any Orphek lighting product caused by, including but not limited to:
(a) External Factors: Accidents, misuse, neglect, or alteration. Acts of nature (e.g., lightning, floods, earthquakes). Power fluctuations or failures, abnormal physical or electrical stress, or the use of incompatible products or connections. (b) Improper Handling & Environment: Improper handling, transporting, or storage. Improper installation or testing. Exposure to water or saltwater spray.
Operation outside the recommended parameters as described in the product manual, such as excessive heat. (c) Unauthorized Actions: Unauthorized repair or modifications. Use of non-approved power supplies. Improper cleaning with incompatible cleaning products. (d) Other Exclusions: Cosmetic problems or defects resulting from normal wear and tear under ordinary use that do not affect the product’s performance or use. Products not manufactured by or for Orphek and not identified by the Orphek trade name or product identification logo.
This warranty does not cover damage or malfunction to any Orphek lighting product caused by, including but not limited to: (a) Unlawful Use: Damage or malfunction resulting from the use of the Orphek lighting product for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to the cultivation of controlled substances in jurisdictions where such activities are prohibited. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure their use of the product is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
(b) Fraudulent Claims: Damage or malfunction resulting from fraudulent claims, including but not limited to: Products falsely reported as not delivered or stolen. Products intentionally damaged or misrepresented as malfunctioning in order to obtain a refund or replacement. Any attempt to defraud Orphek by misrepresenting the condition or use of the product.
Delivery Disputes: Orphek’s responsibility for delivery is considered fulfilled when Orphek or its authorized delivery service (e.g., Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DHL., etc…) provides proof of delivery to the address provided by the customer at the time of purchase. This applies regardless of subsequent claims of non-delivery or theft. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the shipping information (valid and deliverable address and valid format address) provided at the time of purchase. Orphek is not responsible for non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.
The customer assumes responsibility for the security of the delivery location after proof of delivery has been provided by the delivery service.
Warranty Voidance:
This warranty is void if repairs are attempted by anyone other than Orphek Customer Service, an authorized agent or dealer, or under the instruction of our Customer Service staff. Any attempts at self-repair will void this limited warranty.
Limitation of Liability:
This warranty provides only the rights expressly stated above and does not cover any claims for consequential loss or damage. Orphek is not liable for damage to any aquarium, aquarium life forms, or personal objects due to improper use of the device.
This limited warranty does not cover damage to products incurred during shipping. While Orphek carefully selects transportation and delivery partners, damage can sometimes occur. Please see our shipping policies for information on how to handle damage during shipping.
Damage During Shipping & Delivery:
Here’s how to proceed if damage occurs during shipping & delivery:
Inspect your package upon arrival for any severe damage that may have occurred during shipment.
While it is normal for the shipping carton to show some wear, if damage has occurred to your item(s):
Retain the shipping box, packing material, and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier company.
Have all information about the purchased product, including its shipping tracking number, readily available when you contact the carrier.
Missing Products:

If your purchased item is missing, contact Orphek for assistance in tracking it down.
Important: If your package is reported missing after it has been marked as delivered by the carrier and the carrier provides proof of delivery, Orphek cannot be held responsible for the loss and will not issue a refund.

Third-Party Misinformation:
Orphek has provided all the information regarding its products, policies, and warranty. While Orphek carefully selects its partners and relies on their professionalism to provide the best customer service, Orphek is not responsible for misinformation received from third parties (dealers, local shops, other online shops). If damage results from misinformation, contact the salesperson directly.
Disclaimer of Other Warranties:
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Orphek disclaims all other warranties, whether oral or written, express or implied and this warranty is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our Terms of Service and other applicable policies. No implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability applies except as required by applicable law. Orphek does not authorize any person or business entity, including its authorized dealers or other online shops, to create any obligations, liabilities, or other warranties on its behalf in connection with the purchased product.
Exclusive Remedy:
All warranties are void if damage to the Orphek lighting product is not a result of a defect in materials or workmanship. The sole and exclusive remedy for all claims arising out of or in connection with your use of this product, whether made or suffered by you or another person and whether based in contract or tort, is repair or replacement of the product. In no event will Orphek be liable to you or any other party for any direct, indirect, general, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or other damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of information, damage to your aquarium or any aquarium inhabitants), or from any breach of warranty, even if Orphek has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no case shall Orphek’s liability exceed the amount you paid for the product.
