What Does This Mean and How Does it Help My Reef Aquarium?
Traditional dimming systems typically only reduce light output to a minimum of 1%. Orphek’s advanced dimming system, however, allows for extremely fine-tuned light control during lunar cycle simulation. This means the light intensity can be reduced to as low as 0.06% during the new moon phase, gradually increasing to 1% at the full moon.

At these extremely low light levels (0.06%-1%), the light emitted provides subtle illumination across the full spectrum without producing any measurable PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation).
