Sea Sounds Relax Video
Orphek Sleep with the Ocean is a one-hour ambient movie with a combination of the sounds of breaking waves on a shoreline, the natural sound of waves crashing on rocks with background scenes of a soothing and relaxing dive into a reef aquarium. The magnificent colors and shapes of the corals under Orphek LED lighting solutions unfold a beautiful undersea journey that starts at the beach.
Designed specially by Orphek for one uninterrupted hour of relaxation, meditation and background ambience for sleeping sessions, this video also offers beautiful close ups of corals in a reef tank.
“Imagine a clear blue sky. Now imagine yourself barefoot walking on a long sandy beach. Smell the salty briny scent of the seawater. Feel the sun warming your skin. Listen to the sound of the sea as the waves slowly retreat back out to the sea after breaking gently on the shore. As you walk slowly feel the warmth of the white sand on your feet. You will experience a complete calm day at the beach. You are about to connect to Nature. You will redirect all your attention to the water as you slowly walk towards the sea. Imagine yourself living all your problems behind. Leave all your worries, stress and unhappy thoughts behind. You are now on vacation. You are now connecting only to Nature. As the water touches your feet close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the sea. Feeling refreshed, breathe slowly as you enter deeper into the water. Feel your body sinking more and more into relaxation. Feel the tension slowly leaving your body. Once you are in let yourself drift on the water. Clear your mind. As you are carried away from the beach by the water you are being carried away of your thoughts. Let yourself go slowly into a deep dive into the sea. Dive into the water and let the beauty of corals and fish amaze you…”
Shimmering marine waters, breaking waves, white salty foamy bubbles covering sea rocks and sand shores, endless blue horizons, and deep diving scenes attracts people all over the world seeking peace and renewal.
But why exactly the sound of the ocean affects our brains?
We already know that the planet we live in – the Earth – has 71% of its surface covered by water and oceans hold about 96.5% of that amount, but we know almost nothing on how the sound of the ocean affects the brain.
An adult body contains 60% of water and it is essential for our lives. It represents about 70% of the total weight of the brain.
Fact is that humans are connected to water even before birth. From the very beginning of our lives in the uterus we are protected by amniotic fluid.
We know that the path to calm and quiet is through repetition of the meditation sound, and by redirecting our attention to the sounds of the sea we increase the freedom of our mind, but neuroscientists are still trying to understand and explain the role of the ocean in the process of healing stress and its effects on meditation and relaxation.
For years Orphek has been offering LED lighting solutions for corals in captive environments. The promotion of reefing as a hobby is also a way to bring conscience to the beauty and the importance of these creatures of the marine habitat and for all of us living in this planet. Learning about corals makes us all more involved in the process of their preservation.
This year we decided to offer you this free ambience movie called Sleep with the Ocean. The idea is that our movie will bring you the beauty of these marine creatures (under our lights) as a reminder of why we are committed to preserve them, and specially to remind us of the great emotional impact that oceans have on all of us.
We are connected to the sea in a magical way and the more connected we are, more engaged to its preservation we are all going to be.
Enjoy!
