Orphek ATP 300 Lighting a 7 foot deep reef tank in Germany
Our customer in Germany needed a solution to replace high power metal halide lighting over his large 5,895 gallon reef aquarium which measures 156” x 97”w x 90” d (4 x 2.50 x 2.30 meters).
Orphek was able to provide the solution using our new ATP 300 LED Reef Pendant capable of providing 288 watts of LED power, equivalent to a 1,000 watt metal halide lamp and at a considerable energy savings cost.
The customer previously used six, 1,000 watt and one, 400 watt HQI lamps. The total wattage he was using was 6,400 watts.
Eight Orphek 288 watt Total: 2304Watt , ATP 300 units replaced the HQI Lighting. Sixty degree lenses were installed for the right and left sides and 45 degree lenses were installed in the center area of the tank. The Orphek ATP 300’s have reduced power consumption 4,096 watts, a considerable savings on energy use. We are quite sure the customer’s air conditioning unit above the tank will not be going on as often using the Orphek ATP 300 LED Pendants.
